ABOUT

David Jaronowski, MM, CAGO

   David Jaronowski worked at Cliff Hill Music for nearly two years before Cliff's retirement.  During that time, he helped Cliff fill orders, ran the front office, and learned the publishing and selling business.  He is no stranger to organ and choral music and performing, having worked in churches and cathedrals for nearly thirty years and performed in recital across the United States.  David is currently the Director of Music at St. Rita Catholic Church in Solon, OH, where he has served since 2019.​

   Previously, he served as director of music at the parish of Mary Queen of Peace for nine years and as director of music and liturgy for the Congregation of St. Joseph for fourteen years. Prior to that time, he was the director of music and organist at several area churches; He also spent two years in Kansas City, MO as the director of music at St. Peter’s Parish in Kansas City and as staff organist at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.

   David has served as the organist for many Diocesan liturgies for the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, including the installation of former bishop Nelson Perez, and the episcopal ordination of Auxiliary Bishop Michael Woost.  He also assists with daily masses at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist.

   David holds the Master of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he studied organ with Todd Wilson, Harpsichord and continuo playing with Peter Bennett, and Choral Conducting with David Gilson, Elizabeth Lenti, and Todd Wilson.  Prior to that, he studied at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, studying organ with James David Christie and harpsichord with Webb Wiggins.  Theology studies were undertaken at St. Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology in Cleveland and LaSalle University in Philadelphia.  David holds the Colleague certificate from the American Guild of Organists.

   Previously, David has directed choirs and taught music appreciation and music theory at Notre Dame College of Ohio and Indiana Wesleyan University.
